In celebration of American Pharmacists Month, we will recognize a few pharmacists from our network who consistently contribute to their local communities.
To kick off this month’s celebration, we are introducing Chris Gilbert, PharmD, owner of People’s Custom Rx in Memphis, Tennessee.
For Dr. Gilbert, pharmacy was not the first thing that came to mind when he thought about his future career. Dr. Gilbert received his degree in chemistry before deciding to pursue a career in pharmacy. In 2007, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy.
While in pharmacy school, Dr. Gilbert began his time at People’s Custom Rx as an intern. He immediately knew that compounding pharmacy was the right fit for him. Dr. Gilbert enjoys thinking outside the box to figure out different ways to help his patients.
Since 2016, Dr. Gilbert has been the owner, sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacist and veterinary specialist at People’s Custom Rx. The pharmacy has been proudly serving the Memphis area since 1969. They’re dedicated to providing positive outcomes for patients with unique needs through personalized medications.
Today, you can find Dr. Gilbert serving the Memphis community and spending time with his wife, Deanna, and their three children.
