Your patients are using refill methods via mobile and website. The below above shows refills submitted from June 2018 to April 2019 (a total of six months).
The data includes patients who go to independent pharmacies across the United States for their refill medication needs. And well, the proof is in the pudding. Patients are refilling their medications via their mobile app. This trend does not appear to be slowing down any time soon.
In April of this year, patients refilled almost 3 times more via their pharmacy mobile app when compared to refilling via their pharmacy website.
This data is not being published to discourage you from focusing on your pharmacy website. Nor should it support you to solely focus on mobile from this point forward.
Instead, this data shows how both mobile and website are equally critical to your pharmacy business.
Digital Submitted Refill Count – Quarterly
Based on the quarterly data seen above, you can see a shift in the preferred method for refilling. This shift was seen at the beginning of last year (between the 1st and 2nd quarter), At this point, refilling via the mobile app became the preferred method.
This data is something you can use to for guidance and as a self-assessment tool. If you were to self-assess your pharmacy, where would you stand?
