According to Libby Williams, office manager and daughter-in-law of the owner of Ocean Lakes Pharmacy, business is especially crazy during the summer time. Patients specifically pile in during the summer because the pharmacy compounds a cream called UT Cream (Uncle Tom’s). It’s great for sunburns, bug bites, diaper rash, and everything in between. People from all over have heard the spiel about UT cream, and come in every year to get it.
In addition to heal-all cream, the pharmacy also sells a ton of jellyfish ointment and cast covers so that patients can still enjoy the ocean despite having to be in a cast. Libby explained that her favorite part of working at a community pharmacy is “seeing and treating all the different types of needs of a beach community – jellyfish stings, sand gnats, you name it.”
Ocean Lakes Pharmacy started using RxWiki’s digital platform after a difficult run with another digital company. Says Libby, “I don’t have the time to sit down and do the digital stuff that needs to be done – I feel comfortable knowing that RxWiki really understands working with pharmacies.”
Libby explained that she’s noticed more people pulling up the pharmacy on the web. “We have a lot more people that are calling, emailing, and coming into the store because of different things that they’ve seen on our webpage. I feel relieved that our digital presence is one less thing I need to worry about now.”
